Sometimes netbooks now have no cd-rom facilities making it difficult to process istalasi windows xp. The solution often used is to use the cd-rom eksternal.Kalau turns out you only have a Usb flasdisk it also does not matter because the install windows xp from pendrive has to be done.
If netbooks use the sata hard drive windows xp installer can not detect the hard drive. For that we must integrate the sata raid drivers into windows xp installer. Immediately we practice it.
Preparations include :
1. Usb flash (minimum 1GB)
2. Windows Xp CD
3. Computers that have the cd-rom to copy the xp cd installer
4. Software PEtoUSB USB_PREP8 and can be downloaded here
5. Intel Sata Raid drivers specifically for netbooks with sata hard drive (how can be found here)
Step - step istaller making xp pendrive:
1. Plug the flash drive and remember the position of D:, E:, or F: ... and so on
2. Insert windows xp cd
3. Extract the files PeToUSB + USB_Prep8 that was downloaded earlier
4. Run the file "USB_Prep8" then the command prompt window will appear like this:
press any key
5. PeToUSB window appears like this click start to begin the process of formatting. Wait until finished.
6. Close PeToUSB we return to USB_Prep8 it will appear as below.
7.Select option 1 to select the source installation of windows xp cd or from copy folder from xp cd and enter
8. Select option 3 to determine if the flash drive on E: then type E and hit enter.
9. Select option 4 to start the manufacture of windows xp from pendrive installer
10. Answer each prompt with a Y-Yes or OK. Pengcopyan process will take a long time about 15-30min.
11. When finished unplug the flash.
12. To make the computer to boot from the flash is set the first boot from usb flash

Why when install windows xp on a netbook hard drive not detected? maybe this is sometimes confusing. The solution is to install Windows Vista or Windows 7. But what if you want to install windows xp, probably for reasons easier or because the application that we use only runs on windows xp.
Why the hard disk is not detected because netbooks now use sata hard drive. Where windows xp not integrate sata raid driver for the chipset netbook. we need to do is to integrate sata drivers into windows xp installer. If it is still not detected hard drive also means your netbook uses a newer chipset, which means you need to download the sata drivers in accordance with the type of chipset.
